Associate Director

As a EWT Data Performance Manager and Offshore Lead:

  • Should have at least 15 years of experience in the Data Management world.  5+ years of experience in Azure cloud on architecting, solutioning , building Data strategies  and data products.
  • Have at least 5 years of direct people management experience, managing all aspects of people and team performance.
  • Should be data driven and should be capable of dealing with data, data analysis and data interpretation
  • Demonstrates excellent ability to work in a remote environment and experienced in working collaboratively across Geographies such as UK, India, and Mexico.
  • Effectively manage and build platform for team collaboration in offshore. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement. 

 

People Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for the performance of all off-shore resources, whether in a direct or in-direct reporting line. 
  • Ensure all teams are compliant with performance management frameworks, information security standards, training requirements, risk, ethics, and behaviour and diversity guidelines.
  • Goal setting oversight to ensure high standards of SMART objectives
  • Ensure adequate career guidance / counselling is in place to support teams

 

Mandatory Skills:

 

  • At least 10 + years of consulting or client service delivery experience on Azure
  • Candidate must have experience as an Azure Architect in designing and providing architectural solutions by assessing the client requirements and pain areas.
  • Should have experience in setting up the azure environment for the project by following the best practices as described by Microsoft.
  • Should own the architecture, define standards, guidelines and best practices to be followed during the implementation phases.
  • Should track the Project status, review the artifacts of the team members and provide directions to the team in case of any deviations observed.
  • Should have experience in leading and mentoring the team.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing data ingestion, data processing and analytical pipelines for big data, relational databases such as MySQL and data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake
  • Extensive experience providing practical direction within the Azure Native services and Hadoop
  • Extensive hands-on experience implementing data ingestion, ETL and data processing using Azure services: ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Synapse/DW, Azure SQL DB, Event Hub, IOT Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Analysis Service, HDInsight, Databricks, Azure Data Catalog, Cosmo DB etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Azure and Big Data technologies such as Python, SQL, ADLS/Blob, Spark/SparkSQL, Databricks, Hive and streaming technologies such as Kafka, EventHub, NiFi etc.
  • Must be Well versed with Pyspark development on databricks.
  • Well versed in DevSecOps and CI/CD deployments
  • Cloud migration methodologies and processes including tools like Azure Data Factory, Data Migration Service, Event Hub, Kafka, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years of RDBMS experience
  • Experience in using Big Data File Formats and compression techniques
  • Experience working with Developer tools such as Azure DevOps, Visual Studio Team Server, Git, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations.
  • Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent (minimum 2 years work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 2 years work experience

Preferred skills:

  • DevOps on an Azure platform
  • Experience developing and deploying ETL solutions on Azure
  • IoT, event-driven, microservices, Containers/Kubernetes in the cloud
  • Familiarity with the technology stack available in the industry for metadata management:  Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Lineage, Data Catalog etc.
