We are recruiting for ‘Associate and Senior Associate’ positions in the Modeling, Credit and Liquidity (MCL) Team. In this team, your responsibilities will include executing projects on behalf of international KPMG teams and clients.
The MCL resource is responsible for performing various tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures provided by the onshore team including, but not limited to performing tuning and calibration efforts on the trade surveillance reports and supporting related activities.
You will be required to:
•Define segmentation strategy (e.g., global thresholds / weightings or bespoke thresholds) to maximize surveillance pattern yield •Define critical tunable parameters for each pattern •Develop tuning metrics for each surveillance pattern (precision / recall and descriptive statistics) •Define ATL / BTL settings •Build predictive risk scores based on available / enriched observable fact patterns and aggravating / mitigating factors – we often have to bind external data outside of the surveillance system to accomplish this which means you really need to understand both risk and surveillance •Build input / output monitoring tools (in Tableau) •Generate BTL samples and evaluate (which requires an understanding of alerts and aggravating / mitigating factors) •Draft Tuning DocumentsEducational qualifications
•Qualifications: Post Graduation/Diploma.Work experience
•1-2 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, preferably in a Big 4 firmMandatory technical & functional skills
•Strong experience in Trade Surveillance Pattern recognition •Ability to summarise key findings and observations and discuss them in a clear and concise manner with the stakeholders •Programming Skills - Experience with Python, Java, R and SQL (for managing large datasets and executing analysis). Also need to be able to work in TableauPreferred technical & functional skills
•Ability to interpret and act in accordance with the Risk management policies •Knowledge around risk management procedures such as conflict of interest, client and engagement acceptance etc. •Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations without compromising on quality, and ethical standards and values •Listening, challenging, asking probing questions and applying judgement to responses to get a full understanding of the information being provided •Strong commitment, multi-tasking, and strong work ethics •Self-motivated to prepare high quality work first time •Receptive to constructive feedback •Individuals must be professional, excellent communication skills verbal and written •Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment •Knowledge of MS Office Suite •Other information
