Data Analyst, Fundamental Equities

Location: Mumbai

This role will be part of a Fundamental Equity investment team focusing on European Healthcare sector. They will work closely with an experienced Senior Portfolio Manager and other team members to support fundamental research and idea generation, with the long term objective for them to build up independent coverage on stocks and further progress their career at MLP.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in data science, with a proven track record in alternative data modeling and working with diverse datasets.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Tableau for visualization.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and managing databases.
  • Experience with statistical methods and machine learning algorithms.
• Data Expertise:
  • Demonstrated ability to handle structured, unstructured, and panel datasets.
  • Experience in exploratory data analysis (EDA) and data validation techniques.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to design and apply appropriate methodologies based on the data and problem context.
• Communication: Strong ability to present complex findings to stakeholders in a clear, actionable format.
• Tools & Frameworks: Familiarity with data processing, visualization, and modeling tools (e.g., Tableau, Pandas, scikit-learn, scipy, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
