Digital Support Associate

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in  Orlando, FL is seeking a Digital Support Associate (Internship)

SUMMARY

The Digital Support Associate will support the Business Intelligence team in driving Operational Excellence. This position assists in the development and maintenance of internal tools, data catalogs, and reports, while contributing to documentation and enhancement of internal digital solutions. The ideal candidate brings a passion for software development, user interface design, and collaboration across business and technical teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to user interface (UI) design, debugging, and integration of third-party services.

• Write and support code using languages such as M-Query, JSON, SQL, and Python.

• Assist in the development of applications using frameworks like Angular, React, and VueJS.

• Integrate RESTful services into frontend systems.

• Develop and maintain project documentation and source control notes.

• Work collaboratively with engineers and stakeholders across the organization.

• Track project milestones, meet deadlines, and support product enhancements.

• Estimate effort for development tasks and features.

• Identify and resolve bugs, implement performance improvements.

• Support application deployment and ongoing enhancements.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

Education & Experience

• Junior or Senior actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming, client/web app architecture, and all stages of development.

• Programming experience with at least one modern server language (e.g., Python, JavaScript).

• Exposure to frameworks/tools such as Django, Docker, Git, MySQL, MongoDB, Azure.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows OS, and web-based collaboration platforms.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power Platform or Microsoft Power BI.

• Ability to independently manage development tasks and contribute to team-driven software projects.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, talk, and hear regularly.

• Occasionally required to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

• May be exposed to chemicals and loud environments.

• Adherence to company and customer PPE and safety requirements is mandatory.

• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operational environment if needed.
