The Commercial Analyst, Generosity Experimentation will play a pivotal role in growing an experimentation function within the Sportsbook Commercial team focused on customer retention and loyalty. Reporting to the Experimentation Commercial Manager, this role will help to accelerate the speed of learning while maintaining standardization of processes across teams. The Analyst will partner with retention marketing stakeholders and will be responsible for designing and analyzing experiments that help to answer key questions and drive promotional strategy. They will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally, aligning with commercial stakeholders marketing technology, data science and data engineering to pursue a best-in-class personalization strategy.

THE GAME PLAN

• Partner with commercial marketing teams to conduct and analyze experiments related to personalization efforts, including audience optimization, generosity mechanics and generosity delivery. Compile results and present insights and recommendations to marketing leadership.
• Continue the advancement of a cross-functional experimentation program. Partner with retention team and stakeholders to define business problems and set up experiments. Optimize promotional spend and performance and use advanced statistical techniques to support data analysis and insight generation.
• Drive culture of experimentation throughout the Sportsbook business through initiatives to educate organization on experimentation best practices.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and automate workload to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Document and integrate learnings from experiments to continuously refine strategies and build upon individual findings.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

• 2+ years of experience in an analytical role such as marketing analytics, data science, research
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering) is preferred.  Master’s degree a plus.
• Experience with experimental design, A/B/n testing, and use of statistical analysis. Experience with analysis or experimentation of personalization efforts, a plus.
• Advanced SQL skills required. Experience with statistical programming tools such as Python, R or SAS preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to work through ambiguity and deliver solutions to business problems.
• Collaborates: is a team player - works with various teams across the organization to understand their needs and get things done.
• Commercial acumen: understanding of P&L, business principles and commercial levers
• Presents clearly and with impact to a wide range of stakeholders and keeps stakeholders updated with relevant and timely information
• A “can-do” attitude and the type of person who constantly looks for solutions and better ways of operating

The applicable salary range for this position is $79,000 - $99,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
