WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Systems Integration Engineer, you’ll work alongside our senior engineers to plan, build, and maintain integrations between Tractian’s CMMS platform (TracOS) and enterprise systems (SAP, IBM Maximo, TOTVS, etc.). You’ll learn to translate high-level architecture into working code, assist with troubleshooting, write tests and help ensure smooth data flows for our customers and partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with senior integration engineers to implement end-to-end integration solutions - helping with design, configuration, and development
Assist in writing and testing API clients, data transformers, and event-driven workflows (Kafka, webhooks, etc.)
Monitor running integrations, triage failures, and produce clear incident reports
Contribute to internal tools, libraries, and best-practice documentation for our integration stack
Communicate technical details clearly to non-technical stakeholders and help troubleshoot basic issues
Participate in code reviews and iterative improvements under the guidance of senior team members
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, or 0–2 years of experience in a technical role (internships, research projects, entry-level technical jobs)
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and common data formats (JSON, XML)
Some exposure to one or more programming languages (Python, Go, JavaScript, etc.)
Basic understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases
Eagerness to learn event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ask clarifying questions
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating in English
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Hands-on experience using or integrating with an ERP or CMMS system (SAP, IBM Maximo, TOTVS, etc.)
Understanding of security fundamentals in API design (authentication, authorization, encryption)
