Company Overview: Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum documents and interprets the history of country music—a musical genre and culture central to the identity of the city, the state, and the nation. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the museum proudly combines subject expertise, ambitious research, and preservation of an unparalleled collection with expressions of creativity in music, art, and history. The museum collects artifacts that illustrate the evolving history and traditions of country music and provides diverse learning opportunities through educational programs, publications, and exhibitions. The core exhibit follows the story of country music from its folk beginnings through its evolution as a commercial art form. Rotating exhibits examine a broad range of topics, from country classics to contemporary and emerging artists in American Currents. The museum owns Hatch Show Print, a letterpress print shop opened in 1879, and it operates Historic RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley and many others recorded.
What We Offer for Full-Time Staff:
Department Overview: The IT Systems Applications department’s purpose is to strategically integrate innovative technology solutions to further the mission of the institution and enable the education and preservation of the country music story. The IT Systems Applications team provides collaborative business process management, business application support, and centralized institutional data analysis. We provide support and reporting mechanisms to improve the customer experience through planning, procurement, and implementation with cross-departmental teams. We provide oversight for the data cycle and process management for organizational data, as well as oversee data compliance programs and policies.
Position Overview: The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is looking for a Data Analyst to join our data team. This position will take responsibility for managing efforts surrounding systems and data reporting, managing our data sources, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues. The Data Analyst will use analytical skills and creative thinking to enhance the needs of the business through both systems analysis and data analysis.
This role will identify improvements needed and design systems and processes to implement those changes. They will use their knowledge and design of systems to lead data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development for the institution. They will make recommendations about the methods and ways in which departments obtain and analyze data to improve quality and the efficiency of data systems. They will work with other members of the IT Systems Applications team to implement solutions that provide order, insight, and efficiency of collective processes, workflows, data reporting, and data management across the organization. This position reports to the Senior Manager of IT Applications.
