Intern - Year Round (Data Engineering)

Our team is dedicated to Analytics/Reporting and Data Engineering development, design, architecture, and solutions based on requirements. We work and collaborate closely with various engineering teams in ETS. Additionally, we collaborate with all Business Units across NFCU to understand their data and reporting needs and develop tailored solutions to support their business objectives.

• Provide support to the assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
• Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
• Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
• Perform research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
• Assist with Data Engineering tasks and projects
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
• Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
• Provide support in functional areas of the credit union
• May provide direct member service in high volume situations
• Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university
• Strong foundation in Computer Science or Data Science
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL
• Understanding of Data Engineering, Analytics and data architecture concepts
• Knowledge of Data Engineering, APIs, and cloud development
• Adaptability to new technologies
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Desired: Effective communication skills and a commitment to self-development
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
