Sr Machine Learning / Data Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to capture and process large volumes of data from various sources.
  • Experiment with and implement novel algorithms for time-series forecasting, geospatial analysis, such as energy demand prediction and anomaly detection.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to identify business needs and the most effective data solutions.
  • Optimize algorithms for performance and accuracy using best practices in machine learning and data handling.
  • Integrate AI models into production systems and monitor their performance to ensure ongoing reliability.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in data science and machine learning (LLM, MCP, RAG, RLHF and more fun acronyms!)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, machine learning engineering, or a similar role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, NodeJS, Java or similar programming languages and ninja level SQL knowledge.
  • Experience building scalable ML and data pipelines using one or more machine learning / NLP frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, NLTK, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or Flink.
  • Strong understanding of time-series forecasting, geospatial analysis, or anomaly detection techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively in teams.
  • Experience in the energy sector or related fields is a plus (but not a must, we can teach you that!).
