Job Description

Visa is seeking a highly motivated Finance Business Intelligence (BI) Data Analyst to join our Corporate Technology Support Organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a cross-functional team environment and provide operational support for mission-critical Finance BI applications. This role is integral to ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and minimal business disruptions.

Additionally, we are seeking an experienced ORMB Specialist with a strong background in end-to-end ORMB implementations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and enhancing ORMB building algorithms, batches, UI, scripts, and other configurations. Responsibilities include managing the ORMB environment, installing and maintaining the ORMB application and threadpools, and providing production support for ORMB and other financial systems. The role will require at least 50% of the time dedicated to production support for ORMB. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Artifactory. Strong Java experience for ORMB and other open-source applications, as well as integrating ORMB with other applications, is essential.

In addition, you will be pivotal in ensuring adherence to customer service level agreements for various corporate finance applications.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work 2-3 set days per week from the office (determined by site leadership), aiming to be in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Essential Functions:

• Provide operational support for Business Intelligence (BI) applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor and manage scheduled jobs using job scheduling tools (preferably Control-M).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI applications, data pipelines, and scheduled jobs.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and data workflows.
• Utilize batch/shell scripting, SQL, DAX, PySpark, and Hadoop for technical issue resolution.
• Use Splunk for log analysis, monitoring, and alerting.
• Assist in incident management and problem resolution.
• Document support processes, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Perform regular system health checks and maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding incident status, resolution times, and system performance.
• Manage the ORMB environment, including installation and maintenance of the ORMB application and threadpools.
• Provide production support for ORMB and other financial systems.
• Develop and enhance ORMB building algorithms, batches, UI, scripts, and other configurations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Artifactory.
• Integrate ORMB with other applications.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 6+ years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or at least 3 years with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA), or 0 years with a PhD, or 8+ years of relevant work experience.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a support role within a BI or data-centric environment.
• Strong technical skills in batch/shell scripting, SQL, DAX, PySpark, and Hadoop.
• Experience with job scheduling tools (preferably Control-M).
• Proficiency in using Splunk for log analysis and monitoring.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ORMB implementations.
• Expertise in ORMB development and enhancement.
• Strong Java experience for ORMB and open-source applications.
• Experience in ORMB environment management.
• Production support experience in ORMB or other financial systems.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Artifactory.
