Associate Air Data and Inertial Systems Engineer

Boeing Brazil is seeking Associate Air Data and Inertial Systems Engineer, reporting to the Avionics Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office.

The Associate Air Data and Inertial Systems Engineer will to join the team in defining and integrating airplane electronic and electrical systems across our commercial fleet. This position will be assigned to work with Air Data and Inertial Systems Team.

All projects center on the translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications including the physical integration of electrical systems and components into our complex airplanes. Work with a worldwide supplier base to implement system hardware and software. Validate designs through both laboratory and airplane testing. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and through their production life. We are continually evolving the state of the art in commercial air transport.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
• Designs hardware, software and interface specifications.
• Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
• Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
• Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

This position is hybrid/telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
• Must have a degree in Engineering.
• Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).  
• Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree.
• Relevant experience with Electrical Systems hardware and software design.
• Relevant experience in engineering development processes and methods (e.g. ARP 4574).
• Relevant experience with engineering safety processes and methods (e.g. ARP 4761)
• Relevant experience with with equipment design, specification, installation, and tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g. RTCA DO-160).

Relocation: 

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
