Join our Localization Program Management team at Zendesk! We are looking for a proactive and adaptable Localization Technical Program Manager to enhance the experience of our international users across all our products, including our growing portfolio of AI-powered features. In this key role, you will partner closely with our expanding AI product and engineering teams based here in Lisbon, as well as our global product development partners, to ensure our software is accessible, relevant, and engaging for users in over 160 countries and territories. Build relationships with product teams, educating them on localization processes, and advocating for global users.
As the subject matter expert for the assigned product areas, with a strong focus on AI features, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and scalable delivery.
Design, implement, and optimize scalable localization frameworks tailored to AI-powered features, ensuring that AI-driven outputs are culturally and linguistically appropriate.
Own and support global cross-team coordination, project management, and be able to swiftly prioritise and multi-task based on severity level and strong business judgement.
Implement localization strategies that support global expansion efforts.
Establish quality standards for localised content including AI outputs and contribute to implementing quality assurance processes.
Analyse localization performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Localisation, or related field.
5+ years of experience in localization program management, with at least 2+ years focused on AI features
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and global environment with shown success in project management, execution, and multi-tasking.
Experience collaborating with AI teams or working on products with embedded AI features
Experience communicating across a variety of cross-functional collaborators and leadership, working across time zones and international offices
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle
Familiarity with internationalisation standards such as Unicode and CLDR
Fluency in English; Fluency in German or Dutch is a plus.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
