Your Departments
Within Roche Pharma Research & Early Development (pRED), the ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion) and PASS (Pathology and Applied Safety Science) Chapters play crucial roles in understanding and predicting the effects of new medicines on the human body. We focus on key mechanisms of drug behavior and utilize advanced technologies to accelerate research and development. We are expanding our capabilities in lab automation, digitalization, and machine learning to enhance our processes and outcomes.
The opportunity
As a joint intern across the ADME and PASS Chapters, you will contribute to projects involving lab automation, digitalization, and machine learning. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative solutions, analyze data, and support ongoing research initiatives.
Your Impact
You will gain hands-on experience in developing and implementing automated assays and workflows.
You will contribute to projects focused on digitalization and data management, including the use of machine learning algorithms.
You will analyze experimental data and present findings to the broader R&D group.
You will collaborate with specialists in ADME and PASS to improve the efficiency and stability of our systems.
You will learn about cutting-edge technologies and methodologies used in pharmaceutical research.
Who you are
You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or are currently enrolled in a relevant Master's or PhD program.
You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You have experience or interest in lab automation and robotics.
You have experience or interest in programming languages such as Python or R.
You have a basic understanding or interest in machine learning concepts and applications.
You are enthusiastic about working with new technologies and learning new techniques.
You are a team player and thrive in a multicultural environment.
You have a good command of spoken and written English.
Location
The internship (100%) will be located at the Roche Pharma Research Center in Basel.
