Role description:

The way we get around on a daily basis is rapidly changing. With the growth of e-commerce, transportation network companies, and new mobility solutions there has never been greater demand for dedicated space in our cities. At Arcadis, we’re not sitting back and reacting to these changes, but leading the way and developing new tools and systems that will define the cities of tomorrow.

This posting is for a position with CurbIQ, a product that helps cities digitize, understand, and manage the curbside and all the mobility options surrounding it.

The work you’ll be doing is highly analytical, and you’ll be helping to solve problems that will change how cities work. You will help to develop and utilize new technologies, and diversify your skill set by having the opportunity to work and learn about transportation engineering, GIS, data analysis, automation, artificial intelligence, the full product development life cycle, and much more.

We’re looking for keen, motivated individuals, who are interested in exploring a career on the leading edge of transportation technology and operations.

Role accountabilities:

• Assist in development of a new Arcadis product (CurbIQ) related to transportation;
• Actively support deployments of products for new clients, by performing data generation, configuration, and troubleshooting;
• Conduct data analysis, interpretation, and manipulation;
• Research and develop new technologies and facilitate their development and integration into the overall product workflow;
• Design, create mockups, write specifications, oversee development, and test various new features for innovative products
• Develop automations and process improvements to streamline workflows and increase overall efficiency;
• Apply problem solving skills to help bring the product to market and grow adoption;
• Lead multiple tasks, facilitate team meetings, and perform general team coordination duties;
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across multiple Arcadis offices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Excellent organization and time management;
• Data analysis and manipulation skills are an asset;
• Familiarity with GIS (e.g., QGIS, GeoPandas, ArcGIS Online) is an asset; and,
• Programming/scripting experience is an asset, and familiarity with Python preferred;
• SQL, AWS (EC2, S3, SageMaker, Lamba, API Gateway), and API development experience is not required, but is an asset;
• Machine learning experience is not required, but is an asset;
• Past transportation related experience is an asset but not required.

The salary range for this position is $54,000-84,000 per year. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
