The Geospatial Platform team at Anduril is dedicated to building a comprehensive, integrated platform that enables efficient geospatial data ingestion, processing, and serving for online and offline use. The team's charter is to ensure fast, reliable access to geospatial data, identify and address geospatial opportunities, provide timely support and communication, accelerate innovative geospatial adoption, and develop the infrastructure needed to create and use geospatial content. Our mission is to support mapping and location intelligence across all operational domains, ensuring that every mission benefits from geospatial intelligence.
Technical Support
· Serve as a primary point of contact for GIS-related technical issues across the company, ensuring timely support and resolution.
· Troubleshoot data-related issues, configuration problems, and resolve system mismatches.
· Recognize and escalate complex technical issues to software engineers when necessary.
· Develop and maintain user documentation and training materials.
· Collaborate with other teams as needed.
· Ensure compliance with security clearance requirements as needed.
Content Management
· Support GIS data sourcing, production, and analysis using Python and GIS tools.
· Perform geostatistical analysis and geoprocessing tasks.
· Maintain data integrity and compliance with organizational standards.
Development and Project Management
· Assist in high-level project management and planning for GIS initiatives.
· Collaborate on the development and enhancement of GIS workflows and tools.
· Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field.
· 5-7 years of proven experience doing GIS work as a specialist, analyst or support technician/engineer.
· Strong customer service skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
· 3-5 years proven experience in GIS Python programming using GDAL.
· Extensive experience with GIS tools like ArcGIS/QGIS and GDAL.
· Expert knowledge of GIS formats like mbtiles, GeoTIFF, and COGS.
· Expert knowledge of GIS concepts like WGS84, Web Mercatur, UTM, HAE, and MSL.
· Knowledge of GIS content sourcing and production.
· Experience with GIS data management, including data acquisition and analysis.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required.
· Proven project management skills.
· Familiarity with cloud-based GIS data providers.
· Familiarity with geospatial data management and analysis techniques.
· Experience with database management and SQL.
US Salary Range$124,000—$231,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
