We’re hiring a foundational team to engineer the core MIDAS platform — including a metadata-driven, contract-first Data Platform that enables governed ingestion, lineage, and discoverability across hundreds of internal systems. This is tightly integrated with our AI and ML capabilities: powering retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and full-lifecycle model management.

Overview:

Build reliable, scalable, and observable data pipelines for Maersk’s flagship logistics use cases. This role blends engineering discipline with platform awareness — making data discoverable, reusable, and AI-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver batch and streaming pipelines using Kafka, Spark, Flink, dbt, and SQLMesh
• Engineer cost-optimized data flows on AWS (Glue, EMR, S3, Athena, Step Functions)
• Design schema-evolution aware ingestion flows and build out automated testing
• Embed observability and lineage hooks (e.g., Great Expectations, OpenLineage)
• Collaborate with AI/ML and metadata teams to ensure interoperability and compliance

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 6–9 years of experience in data/platform engineering
• Hands-on with distributed processing (Spark, Flink), dbt/sqlmesh, and Kafka ecosystems
• Exposure to building pipelines on AWS-native tools (Glue, S3, Athena)
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Terraform, GitOps workflows
