Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

The role of our Monetisation Strategic Finance organisation is to make sense of complex financial data to help LinkedIn make the best strategic decisions to grow and operate the business. The StratFin Data and Analytics team (FDNA) combines deep business understanding with scalable data products and unique insights to monitor, forecast and optimise LinkedIn’s top-line performance. We enable our partners to make informed decisions, manage risks, and identify opportunities across multiple business areas. We are looking for an experienced data professional who will build data assets that scale recurring work and analysis through algorithms, dashboarding and AI applications.

Responsibilities

Advanced analytics & AI tools development 

  • Leverage statistical modelling, machine learning or AI techniques to forecast key metrics and detect trends/anomalies
  • Enhance product initiative impact tracking and reporting process – turning our A/B testing results into insights that we can leverage in performance management and forecasting
  • Build AI agentic application that will monitor metric performance and answer high-level questions
  • Automate repetitive processes to free up time for deeper analysis and strategic thinking

Build data pipelines & tools

  • Partner with data teams to design and maintain scalable data pipelines
  • Develop robust reporting and dashboard solutions that provide near-real-time visibility into key metrics
  • Ensure data quality and reliability for downstream analytics applications

Collaborate & Innovate 

  • Develop scenario analyses for different business cases, helping finance and product stakeholders make informed decisions about investments, resource allocation and growth opportunities
  • Champion data best practices and drive a culture of analytics across teams
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies in data analytics and AI

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience working in data and analytics
  • 3+ years experience with SQL, Python and Data Visualisation (Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Bachelor's Degree in statistics, operations research, computer science, informatics, engineering, applied mathematics or economics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate findings, analysis implications and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding of advanced statistics
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding of building data applications
