Power BI Developer - CWK to FTE Conversion

The role will be responsible for building and enhancing existing physical, logical, and presentation models using BI tools to meet reporting requirements. The role will also design and build reports and dashboards, assisting in development of complex ad hoc queries and analyses.

The role will be part of the global Performance, Planning, and Commercial Team and will require passion for technical design, development, problem solving, and ability to learn new concepts and best practices.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops a comprehensive understanding of the applications, systems, and infrastructure within the Outsourcing GB line of business.
• Collaborates with support teams to ensure reliability and automation of production activities related to the BI environment. Provides technical support as required.
• Maintains security model in relation to the BI tool.
• Creates and maintains detailed documentation throughout the development cycle.
• Supports user community on BI technology and functionality.
• Utilizes internal and external practices to establish best practices within the team and ensures their dissemination and understanding.
• Continuously develops technical knowledge and is regarded as a key resource across the global team.
• Cooperates with other specialists and/or technical experts to ensure that Outsourcing NNA delivers high- quality standards and solutions that meet stakeholder needs and business requirements.
• Works closely with team members to ensure accurate data display in reporting at all times.
• Initiates practices aimed at improving code quality, performance, and security.
• Develops recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives, applying deep subject matter knowledge to provide guidance on potential implications of changes.
• Communicates with key stakeholders and development teams on technical solutions. Presents proposals through high-level solutions to end users and/or stakeholders.
• Demonstrates adaptability in learning by understanding the implications of technical issues on business requirements and/or operations.

The Requirements

Knowledge and Experience:

• A Bachelor's/College Degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required. Extensive experience in technology-related disciplines is beneficial.
• Proficiency with BI tools (installation, administration, management) and Business Intelligence Reporting (design and development)
• Report creation using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Oracle OBIEE)
• Data modeling for BI
• Development of reports and dashboards
• Knowledge of Oracle databases, UNIX environment, UNIX shell scripts, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Legacy and other BI tool report migration
• Application of data warehousing and performance optimization techniques to structured and unstructured datasets
• Experience with source code control systems (GIT, PVCS)
• Strong understanding of code quality, continuous improvement, performance, and security
• Familiarity with continuous delivery and integration practices
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment with tight deadlines
• Ability to quickly learn and evaluate new tools and concepts
• Client service focus and flexibility in supporting requests
