We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer/Analyst to join our team, playing a key role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that drive business decision-making. As a senior member of our data team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and develop scalable, stable, and fit-for-purpose engineering solutions.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.
• Develop and optimize data architectures for access, analytics, and reporting, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver a new BI and Analytics Platform, leveraging your expertise in data warehousing and reporting.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather business requirements and develop engineering solutions that meet their needs, while ensuring alignment with our overall business strategy.
• Identify technical obstacles early and work collaboratively with teams to define appropriate technology solutions, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
• Coordinate, execute, and support system and integration testing to ensure seamless delivery of data solutions.
• Document solutions delivered and share knowledge with other teams to promote collaboration and continuous learning.
• Work in an agile project environment, collaborating with other Scrum, product, and technology teams to achieve the best possible outcomes for the bank and its customers.
• Participate in the resolution of production incidents, analyzing issues, specifying solutions, and implementing fixes.

YOUR PROFILE

• About You:
  • You have a strong background in data engineering and analysis, with at least 5 years of experience in the financial sector/banking industry.
  • You possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to distill complex problems into actionable insights.
  • You are collaborative and able work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to business leaders.

• Essential Skills:

• Strong proficiency in data modeling and database management.
• Experience with data warehousing and reporting, including data mart design and development.
• Expertise in data ingestion and transformation tools, such as SQL, Python, Spark, dbt, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including SCD, ODS, and SDS.
• Ability to synthesize and aggregate data in DataMart.
• Proficiency in reporting and visualization tools, such as Tableau, SSRS, or equivalent.
• Experience with banking applications data models, with knowledge of systems such as Temenos T24, Triple A, or other equivalent systems being a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Higher academic education in computer science or other related disciplines.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English, with any additional languages (such as French or German) being an asset.
